Mums & Bubs Reformer

An initial reformer assessment is undertaken prior to the Group to develop an individual exercise plan for each group member. Call us or book your initial reformer assessment online below!

This helps us understand your individual needs, including any birth-related considerations like C-section recovery, abdominal separation, or pelvic floor concerns, and tailor the class to suit your body.

At My Local Physio Plus, we understand the changes your body goes through after childbirth, physically, mentally, and emotionally. That’s why we’ve created Mums & Bubs Reformer Pilates, a welcoming and supportive class designed to help new mums safely return to movement while bonding with their babies.

These 45-minute classes are led by accredited Exercise Physiologists or Physiotherapists, ensuring your postnatal recovery is safe, personalised, and guided by experts. Exercises focus on rebuilding core strength, posture, pelvic floor control, and overall stability, all essential after pregnancy and birth.

  • Designed specifically for postnatal recovery
  • Led by accredited Exercise Physiologists or Physiotherapists
  • Small group setting for personalised attention
  • Build strength, stability, and confidence safely
  • Baby-friendly, inclusive, and welcoming environment

  • Individualised to suit your injuries or health concerns.
  • Supervised by an Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist (Health Fund Rebates Apply)
  • Work on your specific goals, with the exercises you love
  • Learn the technique of each exercise at your own pace
  • Interact during the session, ask questions if you need to.
  • Incorporate the reformer, as well as general resistance training exercises (such as body weight or dumbbell exercises) and relaxation/mindfulness.

Babies aged 6 weeks (when mums are safe to return to exercise) to around 9–12 months are welcome. If your bub is older but happy to stay in a pram or our playpen, they’re welcome to, however, for safety reasons, crawling babies can’t move around the reformers during class.

Yearly Reassessments

Reformer Pilates at My Local Physio Plus are eligible for health insurance rebates. However, we recommend a yearly reassessment due to potential changes in your health conditions and the continuously evolving requirements set by insurance providers. These reassessments are essential to ensure you're progressing towards your specific goals and to maintain your eligibility for rebates. If you do not attend these reassessments, there is a risk that your rebates may be rejected, and you may be required to reimburse any previously claimed rebates.
